Trades are done in 3 easy steps:
1. Traders bring their CLEAN and folded clothing to Urban Exchange.
2. Each item is inspected for condition and style. Items destined for resale will then be input into our pricing software program.
3. Trader is then given their total amount due and can choose to take cash or in-store credit.

On average, only about 25% of the items brought in for trade are accepted for resale. Urban Exchange is dedicated to maintaining very high standards when purchasing items for resale so that we can continue to be one of your favorite clothing stores for many years to come.
How long does it take?
Because each item brought for trade is carefully inspected, we ask for 24 hours to process large trades. Trades under 10 items can be processed immediately and take about 20 minutes to complete.
Can I get cash or store credit? Trades totaling less than $25 are paid out in cash on the spot. Traders who want to leave with some new outfits can choose to take the trade as in-store credit and will receive an additional 10% toward their total trade amount.
Are you a consignment store? Urban Exchange is considered a buy outright resale store. This means we pay you cash for your clothes on the spot. No waiting around for the goods to sell.
How can I make more than 30% on my trade? If you don't mind waiting for the cash, you can always opt to consign your items. This means you get 40% of the selling price of your goods after they sell. This is an especially favorable option when trading those expensive designer handbags and jeans.
Do you take formals? Urban Exchange will consign your formal dress for you during specific times of the year.
Should I bring my clothes in on hangers? We prefer you bring your items in folded and in boxes, tubs or bags.

Where are you anyway? Urban Exchange is located in West Boise. We are set back off of Chinden Blvd. down from Cloverdale Rd. in the BRC Plaza. Local landmarks include the Hewlett Packard campus, The Human Bean, Guido's Pizza and the West YMCA. Crossroads are Cloverdale Rd. and Chinden Rd. If you have a GPS, just type in 12505 W.
